I am now in Beijing, China as part of the Prime Minister's official delegation. This is a very significant trip as it marks the 35th anniversary of the warm diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.

Ties between both countries have grown tremendously since 1974. At that time, it was just government-to-government but now the people-to-people ties have improved by leaps and bounds.

As an economic giant, China provides an ample market for products and services from Malaysia. We can also draw in expertise from China by collaborating with them, MCA has also been trying to woo Chinese businessmen to invest in Malaysia. Areas in which we can co-operate include transportation (such as airports and ports), tourism and healthcare (like traditional Chinese medicine).

With enhanced economic and trade co-operation, we hope there will be more business opportunities for Malaysian businessmen and this in turn, will help the creation of employment.

While China has committed to increased the import of palm oil from Malaysia, we have reciprocrated by proposing to engage Mainland Chinese contractors for the construction of the southbound electrified double tracking project between Gemas and Johor Baru. This is certainly deemed a timely and friendly gesture that serves the best interests of both nation. China, with her vast experience in the railway infrastructural development would undoubtedly have the necessary capacity in meeting the project requirements.

It is worthy to note that the People's Republic of China and MCA are marking their 60th anniversary this year. This will serve as a reminder of their resilience and ability to overcome any challenges. MCA will complement the government's efforts to strengthen the relations between both countries.

Dear Datuk Seri

I am glad that at least the Chairman of PKA came out to say that PKA is ready for any actions from the criminal parties. But I am angry not to see any progress. Worst, there is no visibility of what you as the Minister of Transport and the Chairman of PKA intended to do. How do I know you and Lee Hwa Beng is doing anything? It is unfortunate that the words of politicians including you do not carry weight.

I as a member of the public would like to see a timeline of actions and deliverables made public . In this way we would know if there are any progress.

I hope you would implement this suggestion

OTK,
The MCA members are very angry when they saw the pictures of you shacking hand with the Chinese Premier and stand along with the UMNO evil Politician who have been implementing policies of marginalising the community from various opportunities of the mainstream development & various government initiatives !

It is time that You , as MCA President call for an EGM to obtain the MCA members approval to pull MCA out from UMNO/BN coalition !

ong tee keat wanna go overseas, what's the big deal? if he scared, he won't dare to commission a PwC report, u know? and then make it public some more. now, all the MPs also given a copy of the report, including its appendices.

OTK is unlike chan kong choy. and besides, OTK gotta attend official trips overseas, including to promote PKFZ.

now i want to ask who is scared? why did Penang CM not confront the issue of alleged corruption involving his Jawi Adun head-on? His own party member already say LGE knew about it? Is he scared?
