This is in response to the many requests and inquiries from the press in relation to the release of the Position Review of Port Klang Free Zone and Port Klang Free Zone Sdn. Bhd (“PKFZ Report”) prepared by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The Report was first discussed in the cabinet last week and the same matter was discussed again at today’s cabinet meeting. The cabinet members were given the opportunity to study the report in greater detail.

I understand that Port Klang Authority (PKA) has managed to resolve several technical issues with PwC to release the report, including the issue of indemnity.

I remain committed to the policy of transparency and openness because this is what a ‘People First, Performance Now’ government should be. The people not only have the right to know but should be assured that the Government is acting in their best interest.

I am confident that my cabinet colleagues share the same vision & aspirations.

Release it Now for People's sake!

Datuk,

It is time to publish it to avoid further grievances of the people. I hope the full report can be published and hopefully it will not be filtered by the government in order to help cover up the culprits. I hope it is as what the Singapore Straits Times said the PwC report “ also details an array of alleged management irregularities at the free-trade zone development”, including “serious conflict-of-interest breaches between officials of the port authority and executives of private companies with close ties to the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) government”.

The time has come to end all procrastinations and for the RM12 billion PKFZ can of worms to be fully opened to the glare of Malaysian public and for everyone, regardless of status or position, responsible for the mega financial scandal to be brought to book and prosecuted in the courts.

Whether from MCA, UMNO or any other Barisan Nasional component party, whether big guns or small fries, retired or current politicians including those in the present Najib administration, let them all pay the price for the RM12 billion PKFZ scandal.

Datuk, I dare you publish my comment.

Best regards
Teh

Datuk Seri. I believe you when you said you are committed to be transparent. However, I do not have confidence in your cabinet colleagues or some people in MCA and some management in PKA. There are powerful forces at work to prevent the release of the PwC Report. It is hard to pushed back at these forces. The GM of PKA may be the first victim.

The survival of your presidency depends on the outcome of the release of the report. If you fail, the powerful forces will crush you. You must not let that happened. Like the emperor of old, you have to sacrifice these evil doers for your sake, for the sake of MCA and for the Chinese community. This is your test of fire to see if you have the mettle to do great things.

I wish you the best.

PKFZ Report - Take courage to disclose completely and to book all responsible ones
written by jamessu, May 26, 2009
D. Ong,
I am surprised that you do not have the courage to admit your failure again to release the report timely as per your promise and commitment. Also you do not have the courage to apologise for such failure. Thirdly you also do not have the courage to take the responsibility for your failure. What kind minister are you? Please do not give whatsoever reasons again. Just take the courage to do above items that you seemed do not have the courage.

As the PKFZ's financial fiasco in tremenduously huge, hope that the authority will take courage to bring to book all those responsible, start from the top to the bottom, even if may include the ministers, former ministers, higher level, etc. The majority of Malaysians would like to see thatespecially big fishes are caught not just small or medium size. The huge losses are the hard-earned money from all taxpayers and especially big fishes must not be spared.

Hi Datuk,
After so many months of "excuses", if the reports is not release and in whole, this will only show that you have not transform them and indeed been conformed to their game and by doing so, u have become one of them whatever your excuse you may put it.
I went to GH today with my mum, I saw improvement in bilik 14(pengambilan darah). In fact, 3months ago, when I was there I did suggest a number system to avoid confussion and mess. In fact, I did put up this suggestion in your blog. I am happy this had been done. Good work(whoever do the job).In fact today, I put up a suggestion to the GH again for their nurse to use micro-phone when they call patient. The reason, majority patient are above 55 years and when the nurse call, they wear the mask, even I had difficulty hearing as young man. To be effective as ppl rep, can I ask if Liow to follow up on this issue. Also, pls get Liow to act fast on smokers still smoking in air-con hotel lobby and "no sign" seating area. Can I suggest if there is not enough enforcement officer, u get the public help. Get the volunteer to snap picture of such culprit and reward those sent in to complain bureau of Liow. We need action action action ! Don waste your time sueing megazine here and there, just concentrate on your work, the ppl got eyes to see one ! Remember, we are mature ppl,don threat us like small kids knowing nothing. Show that you are different !!
