YB, the scandal has cost the rakyat 12.5 billion as contended by old uncle kit siang. For one I cannot agree and he has to be corrected. Pls forgive him as he is getting old and not so alert lately as he only managed to come up with only 3 questions a day. Is the actual loss RM12.5 billion or it is just self serving political gimmick by uncle kit siang? knowing uncle kit siang since my teen, it has condemned the North South Highway and Penang Bridge. Now his beloved son, the MB of Penang is asking for a second bridge! Look like he is only good in asking question. Why is he not posting questions to his son about the report on the alleged land scam in Penang? Has his son taken displinary action or legal action against the alleged culprits? Uncle kit siang is the interest payable to the governement for the soft loan on pkfz a loss or gain to the government? when you purchase a house for say RM500K and part finance it with a loan for twenty years, you may have at the end of repayment paid a sum of RM1 million but the house would worth more than RM1miilion at the event of repayment. likewise PKFz may cost 12.5 billion at the end of repayment period but its value may be more than 12.5 billion at that time. if we have not constructed KLCC, it would cost us more now to build. R we not proud of KLCC the twin tower. uncle kit siang please just be fair and not so vengeful. be magnanimous. to be a stateman you got to behave like one. Being an opposition leader does not give you the god damn right to condemn everyone and everything under the skies. Please spend more time teaching your son how to stand up to DSAI first uncle kit siang. i think he needs a "tongkat". At least OTK got the courage to make change and be progressive. - Simone

Courage to Change Starts with Walk the Talk of 8 Values By 1Malaysia

1 Nation, 1 Malaysia as 1 United Bangsa Malaysia

1 June 2009

Cry for Blood by LKS on PKA’s fiasco and defend at all costs by MCA President! What The Rakyat and Malaysia learned and gain from PKA’s experience when Appeal for Assistance to resolve the 11 years property maintenance issues for Menara City One Condominium met with mute silence from MCA and DAP

Dear MCA President,

Tit for tat and the show goes on between LKS and OTK with The Rakyat in amusement and total confusion when all that required on PKA is to be fully ISSUES CENTERED to identify the ROOT CAUSE(s) of ISSUES FACED by PKA for the appropriate CORRECTIVE and PREVENTIVE ACTION(s) to be in place to prevent similar ISSUES from happening as TRUSTEE(BN/MCA) and WATCH DOG(PR/DAP) for THE RAKYAT and MALAYSIA.

After 52 years of Nationhood let’s CHANGE for THE BETTER for THE RAKYAT and MALAYSIA as 1 Nation, 1 Malaysia as 1 United Bangsa Malaysia and not JUST CHANGET along racial representation with the change from MCA to DAP to represent the Chinese in the government! To this end, let’s actualized the 8 VALUES of 1MALYSIA by COURAGEOUS and ISSUES CENTERED for 1 Nation, 1 Malaysia as 1 United Bangsa Malaysia.

1 United Bangsa Malaysia, humbly believe that The Rakyat would accept BN and PR leaders who are COURAGEOUS and ISSUES CENTERED with interests of THE RAKYAT and MALAYSIA at heart. The truth of hot air leaders will be sentenced by The Rakyat at GE13!

In view of the magnitude of PKA’s ISSUES let’s the WHOLE TRUTH beyond that of the PWC report be made known to The Rakyat by ISSUES CENTERED along Transparency, Competency and Accountability line.

Let’s those who champion CAT for The Rakyat and Malaysia to deliver and not turned CAT into meows and pussycats!

1 United Bangsa Malaysia. have highlighted the property maintenance issues faced by Menara City One Condominium (MCOC) in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (Masjid India) since December 2008 in leaders blog of both BN and PR but met with mute silence! (Enclosed herewith are 2 of the numerous letters of appeal to our YBs for assistance to resolve the property maintenance issues.)

The City One JMB, had recently made permanent conversion, without seeking concurrence from the owners, to the use of 2 ways private access road to MCOC into 1 way public road for the sole benefits of Plaza City Shopping Arcade!

On 9 April 2009, when owners confronted some of City One JMB’s Joint Committee Members on the cash collections for property maintenance and utilities since April 2008 not banked in by the Officials of City One JMB, one of the Committee Member confirmed such incident but maintained NO ISSUE NOW because the missing money can be accounted for!

My dear MCA’s President, perhaps there is uncanny similarity in events in MCOC as in PKA. Although the financial impact in MCOC is miniscule compared to PKA but the magnitude of THE ISSUES is HUGE in view of the large number of strata title properties and VOTERS in Malaysia, please HELP!

PEOPLEs’ FIRST. PERFORMANCE NOW.

Thank you.

1 Nation, 1 Malaysia as 1 United Bangsa Malaysia

Hi Datuk,

Besides online news sites I also read The Star and The Sun on a daily basis ever since these papers commenced publication. Although I do not think highly of The Star's, including Wong Chun Wai's journalistic standards, unlike many others I do not subscribe to boycotts. As we all know The Star is owned and controlled by MCA. When The President of the MCA is directly involved in a story I believe there may not be journalistic independence in the Star's reports. Tell me if I am wrong.

Since PwC's audit report was made public there have been many headlines and some letters in The Star hailing and commending you the minister, Najib the PM and the BN government in general for starting a new direction towards transparency, accountability and openness. However I will just refer to two such items in the Saturday, 30 May 2009 edition of The Star, a news item and a letter from a reader.

News item headlined "KUDOS TO NAJIB AND TEE KEAT" on page N3 hails move by government to release PKFZ findings in entirety. This news item also includes fawning commendations to both PM Najib and you. Nothing wrong with that except that your journalists seem to have completely forgotten or ignored the role of those who initially exposed this scandal and over the years persisted to make sure that this scandal was not swept under the carpet. As I remember, this scandal was first exposed many years ago by Lim Kit Siang, Malaysiakini, The Sun (not necessarily in that order) and perhaps some others(definitely non-BN). In fact I remember that those from BN, especially MCA initially tried to either downplay the scandal or deny there was any impropriety. I find it disappointing that your Star's reports have not acknowledged the contribution of all those non-BN entities who first exposed this scandal and spend a lot of their energy making sure that the scandal was not swept under the carpet and forgotten. Is it because the Star's journalists are ignorant or is it because they are trying to make you look great at the expense of others who are also deserving of some credit?

Letter from Star reader RONNIE TAN TUAN KING headlined "A TRUE CASE OF TRANSPARENCY" on page N50 commended PM Najib and his cabinet especially you for the release of the PwC report. Again, nothing wrong with his fawning commendations, except that he either is unaware of or chose to ignore the contributions from Lim Kit Siang, Malaysiakini, The Sun and others who initially highlighted the PKFZ scandal and persisted over the years to ensure that this scandal was not swept under the carpet and forgotten. Again I get cynical and get the impression that an unusually big headline and prominence was given to this letter to make you look great at the expense of others who are also deserving of at least some credit.

I notice that you too have not acknowledged the contributions of those who initially exposed this scandal and humbly suggest that you should do so. I believe such an acknowledgment will do you no harm but instead will gain you even more brownie points.

Dear Datuk Seri

I guess a congratulation is in order. A small one until the people responsible for this scandalous thing are punished. It is a tribute to you to take the cover off this thing. I think this sent a message of what People First, Performance Now means. Action is better than words. And I think it will sent message that you mean business. This will be good for you and for MCA.

As a member of the public, I am interested to find out who planned the scam and who were involved. There will not be any closure until these people are punished and punished severely. This must be done quickly else the anger will mount. As it is we see one law for the rich and powerful and another law for the ordinary people.
I hope you can emphasize to MACC not to drag its feet. Otherwise the stigma of cows and cars will bear home.

The government have a lot of thing to do correctly to gain back credibility and trust. I hope you will not let this be one of the thing that got lost along the way. It should not be an item in the next election. The faster this get disposed the better it will be.

a small congratulation

Don't just talk only and do nothing. If transparent why need the gov to filter first before releasing to the public? Do you think we still trust in you. Goodbye in next election to you - Onemalaysia
